Winning has been synonymous with Pleasantville over the last ten years, including six seasons of 15 wins or more. They will hope to continue the tradition of winning as they begin the season Tuesday at Melcher-Dallas.
The Trojans will be looking for their first winning season since 2017-18, as they put up a combined 19 wins over the last two winters. New Trojans Head Coach Tom Wilkins states that there is cause for a lot of optimism this season, as he hopes to at least duplicate the success Pleasantville had in 2019-20.
Wilkins also tells KNIA Sports that it will be difficult to replicate the performances of Teron Mount and Mitch Harken, who were their leading scorers last winter, combining to average just under 26 points per game. Pleasantville will be looking for their eighth straight win against Melcher-Dallas.
The game is scheduled to tip-off Tuesday 20 minutes after the girls’ game ends. The game will be broadcast on kniakrls.com on the KNIA3 stream.
