While the Pella Community Food Shelf continues to distribute food and collect donations during the holiday season, volunteers and donors have also given the gift of warmth with colder air arriving.

Melissa Zula says earlier this month, the Pella Food Shelf distributed winter gear to those in need.

She says they are always accepting donations of gently used or new coats, hats, gloves, and boots, to ensure all families who need to stay warm in the winter can do so.

Donations of food and winter clothes are accepted at the Pella Community Food Shelf, located at The Well on Oskaloosa Street.
