Pella Regional Health Center now offers Health Records on iPhone, which brings together hospitals, clinics and the existing Apple Health app to make it easy for patients to see their available medical data from multiple providers whenever they choose.
The Health Records feature is part of the Health app, which also shows activity, heart rate, nutrition and other health data consolidated from iPhone, Apple Watch and HealthKit-enabled third-party apps.
Patients using an iPhone iOS 11.3 or later and who have a Pella Regional Patient Portal account can easily view their Pella Regional Health Center health records using the Health app on their iPhone. Information including immunizations, lab results, medications, vitals and conditions and procedures can be viewed.
To access health records on an iPhone, go to the Health Records section of the Health app and search for Pella Regional Health Center, and login using a Pella Regional Patient Portal account username and password. Those without a Patient Portal account should visit PellaHealth.org/mypellahealthpatientportal/ for enrollment details. For more information on health records in the Health app, visit https://www.apple.com/ios/health/ .
Health Records creates a direct connection between medical institutions and a patient’s iPhone. It also notifies patients when their data is updated. Health Records on iPhone was designed to protect patients’ privacy through utilizing a direct, encrypted connection between the user’s iPhone and the healthcare organization. Downloaded health records data is stored on-device and encrypted with the user’s iPhone passcode, Touch ID or Face ID.
