The Pleasantville Chamber of Commerce will host its 2020 Christmas in the Park beginning this weekend. Cora Shadle Park will be illuminated with light displays for residents to drive through and view beginning on Friday. City Manager Joe Mrstik says it will be a great way for residents to enjoy the holiday spirit while remaining cautious about COVID-19 mitigation.

“We’ll have some nice lights up there, people can drive around. We’re going to abide by the COVID rules, everybody will stay in their car. We’ll have Santa Claus there. It’s a great light display for people to drive around and visit our wonderful park.”

The display will be open this Friday and Saturday, as well as next Friday and Saturday December 11th and 12th. Due to COVID-19, Santa and Mrs. Claus will make an abbreviated appearance on December 12th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The event runs from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. each evening.
