With the D-III basketball season still planned for a 2021 start, the Simpson College sports programs are preparing for the season in pods to increase safety for players and coaches. Head men’s coach Brad Bjorkgren tells KNIA Sports the guys want to have a season so much, and they are working so hard, it doesn’t leave much time for worrying about things that are out of their control.

“Our intent and our goal is that we are going to be playing a season in January, so we are getting ready for that. We are just out there practicing like normal. We can’t talk about it much other than making sure the guys are staying as safe and as healthy as possible outside of basketball.”
