The Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad will try to build off a 2-0 start to the season this afternoon when the Panthers travel to face Oskaloosa. Knoxville is coming off an instant classic, beating Van Meter in triple overtime on Tuesday thanks to Maggie Wilkins’s lay up as time expired to give the Panthers a 66-65 win. The Indians will be taller than Knoxville, which is nothing new for the Panthers, but Coach Jim Uitermarkt tells KRLS Sports they have learned to deal with teams being taller than they are.

Uitermarkt:
“Even though we get worried about it every time, maybe we shouldn’t. Osky has size, we don’t and they’re a much improved ball club.”

Live coverage can be heard on 95.3 KNIA starting this afternoon at 3:15.
