The Iowa State Dance Team Association announced its 2021 awards in a virtual ceremony Saturday. Pleasantville won in the Class I Color Guard category with a score of 268 1/2. Taryn Brent of Pleasantville was the top performer in the Class II Dance category, winning a state title with a total score of 277. The Trojans also placed 2nd and earned a division I rating in Class V Pom and Class I novelty.

Knoxville received three top eight finishes and Division I ratings: 5th in Class XI Pom, 6th in Class II Novelty, and 8th in Class II Lyrical.

Twin Cedars placed 5th in Class I Pom and 8th in Class I Hip Hop, both good for Division I scores.
