A fatal car accident took place northeast of Indianola Sunday, resulting in one death and several injuries.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, a RAM truck driven by a minor was traveling northbound on 180th Ave crossing Fulton Street and failed to obey a stop sign, colliding with a Nissan Rogue on the front-passenger side driven by 41-year-old Indianola resident Aaron Core.

The Iowa State Patrol and medical personnel pronounced 41-year-old Amanda Core deceased on the scene, and transported Aaron Core, and three minors with minor injuries to Methodist Hospital.

The Iowa State Patrol, Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Hartford Ambulance, Indianola Ambulance, and other emergency personnel responded to the scene.
