Senator Ken Rozenboom, who was elected to a third term in the Iowa Senate, has been named the chair of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Appropriations Subcommittee for the 89th General Assembly. The Agriculture and Natural Resources Budget Subcommittee oversees the budget process for the Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship, and the Department of Natural Resources.
“I am pleased to announce I have been chosen to chair the Agriculture & Natural Resources Appropriations Subcommittee,” said Senator Rozenboom. “I look forward to this new challenge to keep improving Iowa’s water quality and supporting Iowa’s farmers.”
Rozenboom will no longer serve as Chair of the Natural Resources Committee, a role he held since Republicans captured the majority in the Iowa Senate in January 2017. That will now be led by District 25 Senator Annette Sweeney.
