The race for the South Central Conference crown starts tonight for the Knoxville Basketball Squads as the Panthers will host Clarke. The girls are looking for their fourth straight conference title and look ahead to a much improved South Central Conference with teams that are wanting to knock the Panthers from their lofty pedestal. Coach Jim Uitermarkt tells KRLS Sports the SCC is better this season and this season will likely be the toughest conference title to win.

Uitermarkt:
“Every single team is better than they were last year. It is a tall task that we have in front of them, and the girls talk about it and they really want it and I have confidence those girls are going to go out and fight for every one of those Ws.”

On the boys side, the Panthers are also playing a much improved Clarke that took the Panthers to the very end the last time the two teams played back in January. Live coverage can be heard on 95.3 KNIA beginning with the pre game at 6:15.
