The City of Indianola is continuing work on the Water Resource Recovery Facility after construction began earlier in 2020, after accepting bids for the $45 million project in January. City of Indianola Water Pollution Control Superintendent Rick Graves tells KNIA News the project made good progress despite the difficulties of the pandemic.

“We started construction in April, and we are about 25% complete with the project so far. There is about a total of 16,000 cubic yards of structure concrete that needs to be poured, and so far they have poured about 5,000 of that. They are making great strides with the plant.”
