A Harvey man faces burglary charges following a theft Saturday afternoon. At around 3:30 p.m., 43-year-old Randy Lee Vancenbrock allegedly entered a home in Harvey without permission. The victim, who was not home at the time of the incident, reported that a jar filled with approximately $75 of cash and coins, a pair of binoculars, and a plastic bag with unknown contents were stolen. These items combined are valued at approximately $175.

Vancenbrock is currently in custody at the Marion County Jail for a separate incident. Deputies spoke with Vancenbrock about the incident. Vancenbrock said that he “blacked out” and didn’t remember committing the theft. He was shown security camera footage, and admitted that it was him in the video.

Vancenbrock faces charges of 3rd Degree Burglary, a Class D felony.
