The Norwalk wrestling team hosted a triangular Thursday evening, and came away 2-0 on the evening. The Warriors beat Carlisle 73-6 and defeated Winterset 48-12.
It was absolute domination against Carlisle, as Norwalk picked up pins in all but three matches. The Wildcats only managed to win one bout against Norwalk. The Huskies gave Norwalk a tougher battle in the nightcap, as Winterset won three bouts. Still, Norwalk had five wins by fall against Winterset. Head Coach Brandon Schmitz says he’s proud of his team for their performance against a big rival in Winterset.
Norwalk moves to 4-0 in duals this season. They’ll be back in action Thursday for a Little Hawkeye Conference dual at Newton.
