One bad quarter doomed the Twin Cedars girls basketball squad against Albia on Saturday falling to the Lady Dees 47-31. The Sabers fell behind in the first quarter 14-2 and never fully recovered. Twin Cedars would get as close as eight points on two occasions in the second half but never any closer. Sophomore Rylee Dunkin says improvement and turning the program into a winning program is always on their minds.
Dunkin:
“One of our big things is to improve and we have a lot of good girls out there and to prove to everyone that we can be good at basketball.”
Brooke Roby led the Sabers with ten points. Twin Cedars is 4-4 on the season and will travel to Moravia on Tuesday for a girls/boys varsity double header.
