Twenty-seven area kids had first responders buy them gifts for the 4th annual Holiday Heroes program.

Pella Police Captain Paul Haase says they’ve received strong support from local businesses and residents to help with the effort.

Donations can be made at the Pella Police Department through their officer’s non-profit association.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, members of Pella Police and Fire received lists ahead of time from families to purchase gifts and later deliver them instead of an in-person event at the Pella Walmart.
