There were 157 new cases of COVID-19 in Marion County over the past week, for a total of 2,314 positive tests. Marion County Public Health considered 2,079 total residents to have recovered in their most recent weekly update issued last week. A total of 32 residents have died due to the virus and there are 10 residents currently hospitalized.

Two long-term care center outbreaks are still listed at Accura Health Care in Knoxville and at The Cottages in Pella. According to the State of Iowa Coronavirus Database, 37 out of 42 residents at Accura and 20 out of 43 have recovered — no new positive tests have come in the past two weeks at Accura, and only one at The Cottages.
