Highway 163 near Monroe at 5 a.m. on 12-12-2020

A round of snow impacted the region Saturday morning. Most of South Central Iowa recorded between one to five inches of snow, with higher amounts reported near the Des Moines metro. Locally, here are reports from the National Weather Service:

New Virginia – 4” (National Weather Service)

Before precipitation changed to snow, most of the area received moderate rainfall:
Pella – .48″
Lake Red Rock – .56″
Knoxville – .63″
Indianola – .5″
Ackworth – .44″
Bussey – .52″
Melcher-Dallas – .64″
