After having the Tri-County Invitational canceled due to the snow that fell Friday night into Saturday morning, the Pleasantville wrestling team will have a triangular for their first meet in a week at AC/GC High School today.
Pleasantville is coming off a split in their last triangular last Tuesday night when they lost to PCM and defeated Sigourney-Keota. The Trojans are currently 2-2 in team matchups, with wins against the Mustangs and Martensdale-St. Mary’s and losses against Southeast Warren/Melcher-Dallas and the Savages. Coach Heath DeForest tells KNIA Sports that despite the .500 record, he is impressed with the way his team has performed on the mats.
This triangular will be the last before Christmas break for the Trojans. They will have one more individual tournament, which will be the West Central Conference Tournament this Saturday at Pleasantville. The Trojans’ next multi-dual match won’t be until January 16.
The triangular at AC/GC begins at 5:30 P.M. Check back to kniakrls.com for full results.
