Pleasantville’s basketball teams will be looking for their third win of the season as they play their first home conference doubleheader against the West Central Valley Wildcats.
The girls are looking to point their season in the right direction after losing their last two games to Panorama and Earlham. The Trojans will also be looking for their first conference win of the season since they are 0-2 in West Central Conference play. The last time the girls beat West Central Valley was in December 2018, when they won, 52-49.
The boys will also be looking for their first conference win of the season, losing their only conference matchup to Panorama. This game will also be the boys’ first home game of the season. They won their last game at Woodward-Granger, a 52-41 triumph. Pleasantville won the last three matchups against the Wildcats, including a 69-23 win on January 30. Coach Tom Wilkins tells KNIA Sports that his team needs to perform better on both ends of the ball, despite the 2-1 record.
The doubleheader will tip off tonight with the girls’ game starting at 6:00 P.M. The game will be broadcast on the KNIA3 stream on kniakrls.com with Colton Emswiler on the call.
