
The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday. The board approved moving forward with soliciting bids for demolition at the VA campus. This is a critical step in the lengthy process of redevelopment at the site.
They approved an ordinance approving the use of off-road vehicles on county highways. They approved an ordinance reducing the City of Pella’s extraterritorial zoning review area with Marion County from two miles to within one mile of the city limits.
They appointed Chad Boehlje to the Marion County Conservation board for a term ending December 31st, 2025. They approved the 2021 county employee holiday schedule, which includes Martin Luther King Jr. Day as a holiday. They approved a Dissemination Agent Agreement with D.A. Davidson. They also held a discussion, but took no action on a Marion County logo.
The next Marion County Board of Supervisors meeting will be January 12th at 9:00 a.m.
