The Norwalk girls basketball team stands at 2-5 overall heading into the Christmas break, but has a pair of quality wins under their belts. Friday’s 2020 finale against Oskaloosa was one of the more memorable wins as of late, as a major second half surge propelled the Warriors to a 60-21 win. Head Coach Jill Martin says her team’s defensive performance in that game was spectacular, and that they’ll continue to focus on that aspect of the game over break to try to turn their record around.

Norwalk’s 2-1 Little Hawkeye Conference record has them in a second place four-way tie with Dallas Center-Grimes, Grinnell and Pella. The Warriors will return to action on Monday, January 4th at home against Van Meter. Hear that game live on 94.3 KNIA.
