Both of Pleasantville’s basketball teams each have three wins in the first half of the season. The boys sit at 7th in the West Central Conference, while the girls sit at 8th.

 

The boys have a record of 3-2 heading into the break, with a 1-2 record in West Central Conference play. They currently have one less win than Interstate 35 and one less loss than Madrid. Currently sitting at the top of the conference is Des Moines Christian, who is 6-0 in conference play with a 7-1 overall record. The Trojans lost to the Lions in their final game of 2020.

 

The girls after 2020 have a record of 3-5 with a 1-3 conference record heading into the holiday break. They have one less win than Woodward-Granger, who they play to open 2021. They also have one less loss than West Central Valley, which was their only conference win so far this winter. Sitting at the top is also Des Moines Christian, with a 6-0 conference record and a 9-1 overall record.

Both teams will return to action on January 5th for a conference doubleheader at Woodward-Granger. The doubleheader is scheduled to tip off at 6:00 P.M. on kniakrls.com on the KRLS3 stream. Colton Emswiler will be on the call.
