Unemployment numbers remained largely steady locally in the latest data released by Iowa Workforce Development.
The rate in Marion County was at 2.4% in November, slightly up from 2.3% in October.
There were 420 residents seeking work, which was 10 more than the previous month. The number of employed individuals was 17,230, a decrease of 230 from October.
The rate in Warren County was at 2.7% in November, slightly up from 2.6% in October. There were 700 residents seeking work, which was the same number reported the previous month. The number of employed individuals was 25,600, down 500 from October.
Statewide, unemployment was at 3.6% in November, down slightly from 3.7% in October. However, according to Iowa Workforce Development, individuals who have exhausted their benefits may not be included in the state’s total numbers.
