Knoxville residents looking for a way to dispose of their Christmas trees can do so via a service offered by the Marion County Conservation Department. The department will drive around town to pick up trees on Monday, January 4th. Trees should be placed next to the curb and free of all decorations, and should not be bagged. The route will be driven once, and the department requests that trees be put outside before 8:00 a.m. that day.
Additionally, a tree drop off site will be open at the entrance of Marion County Park from December 23rd through January 15th. The disposed trees will be used for wildlife cover and fisheries habitat in county conservation areas.
