Knoxville’s Coaches vs. Cancer is just under a month away, and organizers are seeking items for the annual silent auction. Organizers Jim and Angie Uitermarkt are asking individuals, businesses, teams or organizations to consider making a contribution or cash donation to the silent auction. This typically includes a wide variety of items and is one of the most popular events of the day. Jim Uitermarkt says that this year’s event will most likely be held in a virtual fashion.

“The day of our event, the auction is most likely going to be online, unless capacity restrictions get changed and we can have more people in the high school. If it is what it is now, we know we’re going to have to have an online auction.”

Additionally, organizations or individuals that donate $500 or more will secure a spot for their name on the Knoxville Coaches vs. Cancer t-shirts. The 13th annual event is scheduled for Saturday, January 23rd at Knoxville High School. The day concludes with the Knoxville High School basketball teams hosting Chariton in a varsity doubleheader.
