pleasantville-3

Pleasantville’s boys’ basketball team returned to practice after Christmas today, and they have a lot of preparation to do for their first week of games next week, as they play three opponents over the course of five days.

Their first matchup will be their second game of the season against Woodward-Granger, this one being on the road. They won their first matchup against the Hawks December 10, 52-41. Coach Tom Wilkins tells KNIA Sports that they need to get out to better starts in order to come away with wins.

Their second matchup will be against #7 Van Meter, which will be one of the toughest games on their schedule. The Bulldogs are 4-1 on the season, their only loss coming to Des Moines Christian.

Pleasantville’s final matchup will be a matinee showdown against Albia, who is currently 3-1n. They are winners of three consecutive games, including two conference wins.

The boys’ matchup with Woodward-Granger will tip off at 7:30 PM January 5th on the KRLS3 stream at kniakrls.com. Colton Emswiler will be on the call.
