The past year saw the City of Indianola complete many major projects, including the Water Resource Recovery Facility, the planning for E Iowa Ave and the Downtown Streetscape, and the Comprehensive Plan Project. Aside from physical projects being complete, City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News what he will remember most is the city staff being able to adapt and function at a high level during a difficult situation.
“What I like to do is take a look at what did we learn and how did we adapt to the challenges. Challenges are just things that make us stronger, and I couldn’t be more proud of our organization, our team here, and the community, because we hit the challenges of 2020 head on and we had an outstanding year.”
Waller also said he appreciates the support from the community during the pandemic, and he felt that our community came together to work as efficiently as possible.
