Melcher-Dallas will open a busy first week of 2021 with a tough Bluegrass Conference Matchup at Murray Monday. Both teams will be playing their first game in a month when they split a doubleheader with Ankeny Christian.
The girls will be going into the game with a 1-2 record, looking to improve their offensive production, as they have struggled to put up points through their first three games. The Saints need to be on the lookout for Murray’s press break all night.
The Saints will be adding new sets to their offense, as they look to be more multi-dimensional in terms of scoring. The girls split two matchups with Murray last winter, winning 38-22 on January 6, 2020.
As for the boys, they are still looking for win number one on the season, with losses to Pleasantville and Ankeny Christian thus far. The Saints need to play all four quarters in order to come out on top, especially against a consistent winning program like the Mustangs.
Melcher-Dallas will be tested stamina-wise, as they have three Bluegrass Conference games to start off 2021. The last time Melcher-Dallas’ boys beat Murray was January 25, 2019 when they won 77-67.
The doubleheader tips off at 6:00 PM at Murray High School.
