The Knoxville City Council held its first meeting of 2021 Monday evening. After City Clerk Tricia Kincaid was administered the Oath of Office, the council approved an agreement with Iowa Inspections LLC to begin a rental housing inspection program, as well as an update to the compensation packages for fire department employees.

They discussed the process of moving forward with city manager recruitment. The council will receive applicants from a recruitment firm, and hopes to view resumes beginning February 19th.

The next Knoxville City Council meeting will be Monday, January 18th.
