The Knoxville Boys Basketball Squad is 5-0 and will battle Albia tonight for 1st place in the South Central Conference. The Panthers are coming off a sluggish 55-41 win over Centerville on Tuesday while Albia is playing its first game of the 2021 portion of the season. Knoxville Senior Player Keegan Cox tells KNIA/KRLS Sports they may be unbeaten in five games this season, but there is still more work to be done to be satisfied with what they have accomplished.
Cox:
“We are honestly the most unsatisfied 5-0 team you’ll ever meet. We want to strive for better things, play better and look better in a lot of areas and better team chemistry. We’re 5-0, but we haven’t reached our peak yet.”
Albia comes in as one of the top shooting teams in the area however, Knoxville will also counter with a good shooting club. The girls will try to start a new streak in the conference after having their 35 game winning streak snapped on Tuesday night. You can hear the action on 95.3 KNIA beginning with the pregame at 6:15.
