Newly-elected Iowa State Representative Brooke Boden will take her seat in the Iowa Legislature today, serving as Vice Chair on the State Government Committee, and will be a member of the Human Resources, Ways and Means, and Veterans Affairs Committees. Boden tells KNIA News it will be a busy schedule and there will be a lot to learn, but she is ready to get to work.
“I feel like we are really ready to roll. I’m gonna walk in and roll up my sleeves, and I think I have some great mentors that will just work together with me to make sure we are getting done what needs to get done. I do have the experience from working through the Lyme Disease bill and then serving as a clerk in the Senate. Although I haven’t been a legislator, I do know the lay of the land. There will be a lot to learn, but I am excited to learn.”
