The Pella and Pella Christian basketball teams are scheduled to face each other to finish the first rotation of the Little Hawkeye Conference season.
In the opener, the Lady Dutch will aim to get back to above .500 in league play after giving up a late lead to Grinnell Tuesday, while the Eagles girls will seek a 3rd conference win and their fourth victory in a row. Pella Christian will look to snap a three game series winning streak from Pella, who leads the series 23-4 since the 2006-07 season.
The No. 1 in Class 3A Pella boys will look to continue their undefeated streak to start the season, while the Eagles aim to play as a major spoiler one week after the Dutch toppled Dallas Center-Grimes to gain control of the conference leader board. Pella has won the most recent match up in January 2020, after the Eagles played spoiler two games in a row. The series since 2006 favors the Dutch 15-11 to the Eagles.
