The Twin Cedars basketball teams are well rested as they near their return to action tomorrow at Ankeny Christian. The Sabers have been waiting ever since a player tested positive for COVID-19 on the first day of school following Christmas break.

Girls Head Coach Trent Verwers says that he, among several others, are hungry to get back out there and compete.

“I think myself, the girls, and even the fans are ready to get back on the floor and finally play a game. After about three weeks of practice and no games, it kind of gets boring after a while. You have to get creative at practice and come up with new things. We’re ready to get back on the floor and get back to our schedule.”

The Sabers will have a busy few days as they go to Ankeny Christian on Saturday followed by a road game at Diagonal on Monday.
