The Pella Community School District has seen steady numbers as it relates to COVID-19. According to their latest data, there were 2.3% students out of class on Thursday — which is close to the average since kids returned following the holiday break.

There are three active positive cases among students and 1.8% total in quarantine, but participating in virtual learning. Superintendent Greg Ebeling says they will continue to pursue in person options as long as possible, and he believes their mitigation strategies have been working to keep students and staff safe.

Staff absences remain low as well, currently at 0.8%.
