The Pella High School Speech team will join others across the state in the modified district competitions being held next week. Speech Coach Suzi Jones says students will perform in front of a Iowa High School Speech Association judge on Friday the 22nd and Saturday the 23rd. From there, qualifying student groups can perform again at the state contest two weeks after either virtually or with an independent judge, and earn All-State nominations; however, the All-State Festival typically held in person is cancelled this spring.
