After Pleasantville’s wrestling triangular at Wayne was canceled Thursday, the Trojans will now compete in the Trojan Duals on their home mats today.
This tournament will be the first time Pleasantville has competed on the mats since the Mustang Invitational Tournament at PCM where they placed 6th. This will also be the first time the Trojans are on their home mats since their conference tournament on December 16th. Coach Heath DeForest tells KNIA Sports that the toughest team he will go up against is Albia.
“Albia is always tough. Their lightweights are just hammers. They always produce good wrestlers and they got some young talent in their upperweights that I am sure is going to do some good things for them in the future.”
The tournament at Pleasantville High School will begin at 10:00 AM. Tune back to kniakrls.com tomorrow for full results.
