The Iowa Legislature is discussing new legislation that could require schools to allow students in the school in-person learning for parents who want to use that option. State Senator Julian Garrett tells KNIA News funding is an issue and the details are not fully worked out yet, however it is something the Senate will discuss.
“We are discussing the bill to require schools to allow students in school personally for those parents that want to do it that way, we are looking at it in terms of parental choice. Giving the parents a choice of how their schooling takes place. That’s a big issue, and maybe one of the first bills we debate on the floor.”
