The Iowa Legislature has now been in session for several weeks, with freshman State Representative Brooke Boden representing the area as the Vice Chair on the State Government Committee, and a member of the Human Resources, Ways and Means, RIIF (Rebuild Iowa Infrastructure Fund), and Veterans Affairs Committees. Representative Boden tells KNIA News a lot of her important work so far has been focused on the Human Resources Committee.

“Making sure that our COVID vaccinations are available, and what that looks like, and they can reach out to us if there are any questions. And within Human Resources of course my number one thing that I ran on the ticket was we needed to make sure we were doing something with mental health. I’m working with other legislators to make sure that as we start to look at other bills as we start to move forward it’s on the forefront of our mind because it’s important to me.”

Boden also said she is available to be reached by constituents through her email, and is open to any feedback.
