The Knoxville basketball Squads see the first repeat South Central Conference opponent for the first time this season as the Panthers host Davis County. Knoxville won both games in Bloomfield back in December as the Knoxville girls raced out to a 44-27 halftime lead, only to see the Mustangs surge back into the game. The three seniors on the squad, Tara Uitermarkt, Marley McKay and Maggie Wilkins tell KNIA/KRLS Sports it has been a successful season so far with a goal of winning the conference still on the table, but more importantly how close they have become this season.
In the nightcap, the Knoxville boys will try to stop a four game losing streak after getting dominated by Grandview Christian on Tuesday. Knoxville had to sweat out a three point shot at the buzzer that rimmed out in the last game against Davis County in December, and Interim Head Coach Matt Ritchhart tells KNIA/KRLS Sports, Knoxville will have to earn the win, because Davis County will not make it easy.
Coverage of tonight’s game can be heard on 95.3 KNIA starting with the pregame at 6:15.
