Snow will be likely over northern Iowa Saturday afternoon and may expand into central Iowa. Much of the snow is expected to fall between 6 p.m. Saturday and 6 a.m. Sunday.

A trace to two inches of snow remains possible with the first round, as is light icing, but likely not significant amounts.

Another winter system may impact parts of Iowa Sunday night into Monday. Freezing rain and snow may occur over portions of central and southern Iowa and could lead to significant travel impacts. Currently, 2-4″ of snow is in the forecast through Monday evening.
