A Winter Storm Watch has been issued across the southern half of Iowa starting early Monday and continuing through Tuesday morning.

According to the National Weather Service, widespread snow between 4-8 inches is possible, with higher amounts possible near the Iowa-Missouri border. Wind gusts up to 35 miles per hour are also possible, which will reduce visibility and make travel extremely difficult, especially Monday afternoon and evening.
