Pella Christian Senior Carson Breon is focused on a great finish to his swimming career after a strong performance at last week’s Little Hawkeye Conference meet.
Pella Christian Activities Director Dan Branderhorst says the season has been challenging with three meets canceled and practice impacted with a mechanical failure in their home pool. In spite of this, he says Carson has been very competitive in his individual events. At Ottumwa, he was 1st in the 100 butterfly and 2nd in the 100 backstroke and more recently, he swept the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke with four 1st place finishes at Burlington and Ottumwa. Breon finished with a pair of silver medals at the conference meet. He was a state qualifier in the 100 Yard Backstroke in the 2020 winter season.
The only home meet of the season at Oskaloosa’s YMCA and will be senior night for Carson, but was postponed this evening due to the winter storm.
