The Indianola basketball squads will look to rebound from a Saturday sweep at the hands of Norwalk, hosting Pella Christian in Little Hawkeye Conference action. The Indians girls are still on top the conference standings despite suffering their first loss of the season, and will try to complete the season sweep over the Eagles after picking up a 56-33 win in their first matchup. The Indians boys are on a two-game losing streak, and had to rebound from a slow start the last time they played the Eagles despite picking up an 83-69 win. Indians head coach Brett Watson said late game execution has been a problem for his squad so far, something they will need to fix if they want to make some noise the rest of the season.

“Regardless if you have a lead or lose a lead, you gotta be able to execute down the stretch and we haven’t been able to do that the last two games and really all year. That falls on me, I have to be a better coach and make sure we are better at late game situations. And the thing is it’s not just the late game, it’s the situations leading up to that there are some things we have to clean up. It’s hard right now but we have to do a better job.”

The games, weather pending, can be heard live on 94.3 KNIA with Andrew Swadner and Rick Wilson on the play-by-play. Pregame coverage begins at 6pm, with tip-off scheduled for 6:15pm.
