Don’t look now — but the Pella Christian boys basketball team is on a roll. The Eagles have won six of their past seven games, with the lone loss coming to conference-leader Pella in that stretch in what was nearly a big comeback upset for P.C.

The schedule ahead will be critical to keep that momentum going — the Eagles have three of their five conference games left against teams they defeated in the first contest this season (Grinnell, Newton, and Oskaloosa), and a pair of 2A foes in Van Meter and tonight, hosting Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, who is a potential district playoff foe.

Head Coach JD Boer says they have come a long way from a 2-6 start, and ever since a blowout loss to Dallas Center-Grimes on January 5th, they seem to have figured out different ways to win each night on the floor.

Coverage of the Eagles and Rockets begins at 7 p.m. tonight for a boys-only matchup on the KRLS2 stream, with Trevor Castle and Wynne Veenstra calling the action.
