After Tuesday’s meet at Greene County got canceled due to the weather, the PCM Mustangs will be back in action tonight for a home dual meet against Van Meter.

The Mustangs are coming off their largest meet of the season Saturday at Urbandale as well as the first that didn’t see any of their own win gold. Colby Tool suffered just his second loss of the season and Landon Fenton had his first.

While the stars of the program should do just fine, perhaps tonight gives other names like freshman Hewitt Brinnegar an opportunity to shine, something Head Coach Jeff Nicholson has taken note of.

“We’ve had a couple surprises this year. Hewitt Brinnegar I think has only lost four matches. That’s a surprise. Hewitt’s a tough kid. I knew he’d do well, but he’s won some extra matches than where I’d thought he’d be at this point.”

Tonight’s festivities from PCM High School start at 6:00.
