Melcher-Dallas’s girls will play for the Bluegrass Conference Tournament Championship against Moravia at Orient-Macksburg High School. The Saints will be hoping to win their second game of the season against the Mohawks. Their last matchup was a 44-40 overtime victory, which included a season-high 21 points from Haley Godfrey. Coach Kelsey Goff tells KNIA Sports that she admires her team’s persistence throughout this crazy season.
“This shows their drive and what they want this season. They could have given up after we got shut down and just said, ‘our season is done.’ Even when we first came back in January, they could have just given up.”
