After another week of class, absences due to COVID-19 in the Pella Community School District remain low. In total, 1.5% of students were out for any reason, and 0.8% were in quarantine due to a close contact for the virus. On Monday, all staff members were in the buildings, and 0.6% were out for a COVID-19 related reason on Friday. Superintendent Greg Ebeling says the district will continue all mitigation strategies, including mask wearing and distancing, and will continue with an in-person model for the majority of students.
