The Indianola Community School District is looking to hire a new position in their IT department, as the district continues to grow. Superintendent Art Sathoff tells KNIA News online learning and interacting with the school’s digital learning environment for both teachers and staff has become more than a 1-person job as the district currently has it assigned.

“Our person who is our student information analyst is also the point person on enrollment and dealing with the student information system. It really is too big of a job for one person especially during enrollment months. We’ve known that for several months, so the move was to re-title that position then to approve a new position called student information systems manager, just an expansion of our IT department to fit a district of our size.”

Sathoff also said the board is also talking about other IT positions that may come up as the district continues to grow, including a position to help students and staff with the electronic devices everyone is assigned now.
