The Iowa Department of Transportation reports most area roadways are completely covered with snow this morning. The Marion County Road Department will be out at 7 a.m. Travel will be difficult through mid-morning.
Most communities in the area received 1-3″ of snow overnight. In Pella, 2 inches was measured at KNIA/KRLS Radio. Additionally, less than an inch of rain fell prior to snow accumulating:
