Knoxville Hospital & Clinics opened a phone line for its first COVID-19 vaccination clinic Monday, for appointments to be held Thursday. Director of Foundation and Public Relations Kevin Stittsworth tells KNIA/KRLS News that time slots filled quickly due to a limited number of doses and large number of interested people, and hospital leaders estimate hundreds of patients attempted to schedule appointments.
CEO Kevin Kincaid asks for the community’s understanding, patience and grace as healthcare providers navigate this phase of the pandemic and work to protect residents.
